Do cold calls or cold emails work when you consistently wish to land large consulting engagements?

Let’s define ‘large’ as $50k+ contracts. These are typically complex sales with multiple decision makers.

In nearly 20 years of consulting, I’ve seen referrals, warm introductions and content (speaking, books, seminars/webinars) work well.

But I’ve never seen an example of a consulting firm win using a cold outreach strategy as their primary sales approach.
