There’s a lot of debate around how much you should share in your content.
Some say,
“Give away the What, but never the How.” After all, the How is what people pay you for, right?
But here’s my take: I’m not afraid to give away the How – in fact, I do it all the time during my Consulting Growth Hour sessions. Why? Because I’ve learned that trust is built by going deep. I’m not worried that someone will take what I share and never come back.
I’ve realized that my audience falls into two categories:
👉 The first type will consume my content, enjoy it, and maybe never become a client – and that’s perfectly fine. They’ll engage with my posts, attend sessions, and spread the word, and I’m happy with that.
👉 The second type sees the How and knows they won’t get the results they want on their own. They recognize that real progress requires guidance, support, and accountability, and that’s where they may need my help.
So, I share the How because I’m not here to convert everyone into paying clients – I’m here to help those who are ready to take action.
I really don’t know if this is the best approach. Others may have a different opinion, but this has worked for me so far.
