Content creation and distribution strategy for busy business consultants
Most consultants I meet agree that creating relevant and useful content can help build their reputation, which can lead to sales.
The problem is, where do you find the time to create and distribute content consistently, week after week?
Here’s an approach that works:
Commit to at least one of these: an ongoing podcast, webinar series, virtual training/workshop series, etc. Block half a day a week to create and record them. Aim for 30-60 mins per episode/event.
Pack each event with useful information relating to burning questions your clients and prospects ask you.
Hire a podcast editor (or a video editor) to create short clips (1-10 mins) of your anchor content to post in your social channels 3-5 times a week.
Use ideas from your anchor content to write text posts, create image posts and other types of micro content.
60 mins of anchor content can feed your micro content needs from a few weeks to a few months, depending on how creative you are.

If your content is relevant and useful to your followers, you’ll get engagement. This usually needs momentum, so posting consistently is important.
Listen to what’s being said in the comments, engage back and glean new ideas to feed your anchor content.
Rinse and repeat.
Note: The success of this approach depends on the market need you’re addressing and the quality of your followers (i.e. are they potential buyers/influencers?). So make sure you constantly add relevant people to your network.
