I learned something about myself over the past couple of months. Maybe it will help you reflect, too.
I hosted a four day summit last month. I hosted a three day bootcamp this past weekend. Both took a surprising amount of planning, coordination, logistics, and promotion. It pushed me and my team quite a bit.
Here is what I realized through all that work.
Live content is the most fulfilling medium I have.
I have been creating content for about fifteen years across formats like text, visuals, audio, and video. Nothing compares to being live with people.
It is real. It is imperfect. It forces presence. It creates connection in a way that recorded or written content does not give me.
Not everyone will resonate with your live style. That is normal. The ones who do tend to return. Even when the group is small, 5-15 people, it becomes a place to learn directly from the audience you serve.
Live content also fuels the rest of my content strategy because it gives me endless material for micro content.
Yes, it is exhausting. Yes, I need recovery time after a major event. That difficulty is also what creates an advantage for anyone willing to commit to it, because most people avoid doing things that are consistently hard (thanks AI).
So here is the insight that finally became clear to me:
Live content is my medium.
This is where I do my best work. This is where I feel most connected. This is what I want to lean into in 2026.
I would love to know your thoughts. What type of content feels most natural for you, and what do you want to create more of in 2026?
