I took a short break from work to recharge my batteries. Pam Marmon, change management consultant and my former client was kind enough to send me a copy of her new book, “Speak Up or Stay Stuck”.
“Change management” is a discipline more commonly geared towards executives at large organizations, but its principles should be practiced by everyone because we’re all affected by change. 🌤️
As an independent consultant or owner of a boutique firm, you deal with an incredible amount of change. New client problems, new tools/tech and new sales & marketing channels to master. 🏹
It can be a lot. But as I learned from Pam’s book, dealing with change is about mindset and communication. The quote at the top is the biggest paradigm shift you need to build a competitive advantage and create new opportunities for your business when everything’s changing around you.
