Consultant, here’s how you can fix your communication.
A very wise man once said to me:
“Money flows towards offers of perceived value”Real value is what you create when you deliver results for your clients.
If you can create real value for your clients, then you absolutely must convey that in your messaging…
…so that clients who read your message can PERCEIVE what they will get if they hire you.
But most consultants don’t build perceived value into their communication.
Instead, they end up talking about themselves.
“I am a HR consultant”
“I have 20 years of consulting experience”
“I have 3 university degrees”
Your potential clients don’t care about you as much as they care about themselves.
They care about value.
So what can you do to build perceived value in your communication?
Many things.
But start by being clear and specific on the OUTCOME you will deliver.
When clients read your messaging, they think:
“How will my business and life change as a result of hiring this person?”
If your message doesn’t overwhelm them with perceived value, you may never get a chance to deliver real value to them.
And that’s a shame, because you know you can.
